Julia Briscoe

Consultant Nurse, Coach, Ethnobotanist, Wild Food Forager & Co-Founder of Cody Dock, an arts, ecology & heritage charity in East London.

Julia loves to support people in developing their own agency over their health through making safe and informed decisions. She believes that some of the deepest conversations can best take place in non-clinical environments, by being in a natural environment and occasional by the fireside. People very often experience disconnection from one another and from nature, especially in urban settings and this disconnection can manifest in ourselves in the form of increased poor health and how to manage this.

For individuals:

Julia's approach is solutions-focused and includes coaching and motivational questioning techniques, takes place on accessible walks and in safe outdoor spaces.

For organisations:

Julia's approach to leadership development and coaching is facilitative and based on the belief that through facilitation, both individuals and teams can find solutions that best meet their own needs.

Workshops & Walks:

Julie likes to help people connect with their areas by leading plant identification walks and workshops which take a deeper look at our native plants, why they grow where they do, what they tell us about the land and connecting with how our hunter-gatherer ancestors may have once used them.
